| ATCO -- POST RACE Chat Hey Ray Morrisette.. it's kinda like... I banged your wife, and she liked me better, isnt it? j/k Practice and some seat time is all you need to get the feel for the car.I didnt run my car today, as its all out of tune and on pump gas, etc anyway, but I took a ride in Ray's car. He hasnt had much track seat time, and I've had plenty of practice the past few months, so after he had some trouble with the car he asked if I would make a run. I'll let him post the times and details, I dont remember exactly. His first pass spun to I think 13.9? Then second pass it spun a little again but went 12.49 beaking up mid-track. So I hopped in and gave it a shot. I managed an 11.78 @ 112.8, breaking up bad from the 8th mile on, but not knocking at all. Ray you have a low 11-sec car once you figure out why its breaking up! Might be ignition related. If plugs dont help, check the coil pack and all. It seems fine on the low end. At first I thought fueling or too much timing in the race chip, but its not leaning out. Now that I've driven someone elses Buick thats faster, its really time to kick mine in the ass. ;) Was good seeing all of you there today. Hope to see you at Fuddruckers on the 27th!

lol...Funny about the red-lighting.... I never did...lol....hahahahaha...I NEVER RACED MY GN in four years!!! lol. Only when I bought it. Anyway, as a spectator, the last round of trials was awesome...three wheelstands were the highlight, followed by the "MATT-in-RAY car pass, and a few sweet low 8, and 7 sec cars were in attendance. Lots a fun!!! I cant wat to have the hot air in the mix. Nice job today to 1970GSX (gregg).... You had a few hot passes in the test and tune! My twin and I enjoyed ourselves....bright and early at the track... Ugh.... Oh yeah, Gregg....Do you know how hard it was for me to bring those wheels back to you?!?!?!?!?!?!? lol...Good runs guys.... Good luck to all, and see you the 27th!!! John

Cannot believe the day I had at Atco. They finally get their act together and I can't make a run without blowing off my up pipe. Never had that happen before. Today (of course) it happened two out of three runs . Even with the good clamps wrenched all the way down. Very strange... Especially since I have been running with this up pipe and hoses for over a year. I crossed the finish at 114.7 and 115 mph, so I should have been in the 11's. Oh well. Back to the drawing board..Anyone have a website for custom ordered silicone hose ??

Forgot to mention the 60' ft in Ray's GN was only 1.88, with a soft 2-3 psi launch. I wasnt used to the vacuum brakes, so I didnt know what it would hold or what the Nittos could stand. When the boost came on, it ripped up until the 1/8th, then it falls off when it starts to break up. 11.78 still not bad considering. The mph should have been MUCH higher then 112 mph even for that time. Let alone what it should run when the bugs are worked out. Tell Mr. Accardi to tune that baby!

An outstanding day, even if I didnt have my car...Hadnt been to Atco since high school(1987!!!) and was great to see the awesome TR turnout..I managed to snap some pics of many of the cars on the track(dont know who's who, since I didnt get to talk to many people!)..Soon as I can find a way to get them up on an ftp or web site, I'll post em...Some seriously fast cars out there, you guys should be proud of yourselves!!! I met two friends from the island up there and for the first time since I've had my GN, they had nothing to say..They are died in the wool Mustang guys and were floored by some of the displays of speed and power..Hopefully DHL will locate and deliver my 44 sometime before Fuddruckers and I'll be able to bring it !!! Was the guy who snapped an axle a MAGNA member ?? Again, EXCELLENT day was had.... Jim B

That would be Mike Zwick with the snapped axle. Hopefully it was only an axle, but he's probably going to upgrade the rear end anyway.

Hey fellas wish I would have made it, I was at Englishtown pickin up my set of Pro-stars. I wanted to stop by at Atco on the way home and see what was up, but I've never been there and had no idea how to get there...Would have been nice to try em out, but I wasn't prepaired.
